Friday afternoon after class I drove to Memphis, TN to see The Lion King play with my aunt, uncle, and cousin. What made the play so great is The Lion King is my cousins favorite movie. He has down syndrome so mentally he is very young. He loves Pumba and Simba and all the other characters from the movie. He brought a scar and Simba stuffed animal to Memphis with us and was excited the whole 3 hour car ride. Whenever we tried to take pictures he “threw the claw” (as in lion claws like Simba). The play was awesome, and they did a really great job with the props and were able to make the actors/actresses really look like lions. I enjoyed it very much and would for sure recommend it to everyone but what made it so perfect was being able to see how much it meant to my baby cousin.
