So many women, and men too, are concerned with cosmetics. Makeup in particular is such a huge industry, and has such a huge effect on American’s self esteems. It easy to forget that we are inherently beautiful when we see hundreds of ads a day, all covered with flawless photoshopped people. Well they aren’t even people really, and we all know that, but it’s easy to play right into the hands of the industry. So here we are, drawers full on plumping lip glosses and better than sex mascara. What has our society done? Isn’t in awful that we are teaching our youth that to be beautiful they have to ditch their individuality and smother their body in product? Seems a little backwards to me.
